Me: "What should we do while Ben's at the birthday party today?"

Sam: "DESTROY THE HOUSE!!"

And later, talking about Diego, the animal rescuer...

Sam: "He works so hard, but he never gets sweaty. Even on the really hot days in the dessert!"

Me: "You're right. I never thought of that." :-)

An Essay on Surfing

Ben's Surf Trip

Ben left today for a weekend surf trip with Rob in Carlsbad. We got in the car this morning and he had the Beach Boys CD all ready. "Let's go surfin' now, everybody's learnin' how..." As we drove to catch his plane. He was just a little excited. 

Dreaming about the future

Sam whispered in church today "how old do you have to be to do that?" He was pointing at the young men passing the Sacrament bread and water trays. I said twelve. He said "I was dreaming last night that I was passing the Sacrament. Just the bread. Not the water. You woke me up before I could do the water." 

Such a sweet boy.

Sam just tried street performing. He put his hat out on the sidewalk and waited to sing to passing cars. No one passed.
