Nocturnal

Ben and his cousin JJ were in my car last night planning how they will spend their time in the hotel at Nauvoo this weekend....

Ben: Mom, what's that called when you sleep all day and stay awake all night?
Mom: Nocturnal.
Ben: Nocturnal.
JJ (to Ben): Should we do a nocturnal?
Ben: Yeah.
JJ (to me): We going to do nocturnal.

Sounds like we're in for a fun weekend.

Hide and Seek

I got these cute pictures of half the neighborhood playing hide and seek at Mom and Dad's house. Never mind that I was giving away all their hiding places by pointing my camera at them...I couldn't resist! The hearth was "base".

JJ Counting...

Ems under the table...Sam behind the couch...

Discussing the rules...
All on base...Gabe, Ems, Ben, JJ, Sam, Grant, Caleb, Harrison...who's it?

Love this picture of Gabe...

MoTab and Missouri Backroads

I was out and about the first week of school, enjoying my new freedom, and decided to take some back roads to get where I was going. I happened to be listening to a Mormon Tabernacle Choir CD I'd just received from our good friend Nathan. I have to add...he's a member of the choir, and my brother's former roommate. We are all big fans (of Nathan and the Choir). The sky was beautiful that day. The scenery was perfectly paired to the music, so I took a few pictures. I was listening to track five "How Bright is the Day" (my favorite) when I took these.

New Curtains

Soon, I'll post some pictures of all my favorite things about our new home. But for now, here is my most recent home improvement project...new curtains in the "weird window corner" in my living room. Because we live in a basement, some of the windows are irregular and require creative coverings. These drapes are queen size flat sheets from Wal-mart. $9...not bad.
